Movement. Structure. Adaptation.
Human Movement Design
A practice built at the intersection of movement education and strength training — grounded in the science of fascia, tensegrity, and how biological systems adapt under load.
InquireICOSA combines precision movement education with strength training under a unified theoretical framework — one that treats the body not as a collection of parts, but as a tensioned, self-organizing system continuously shaped by the forces it encounters.
The Icosahedron is the geometric form closest to a sphere that can be built from triangles — maximally efficient, responsive in every direction. It is the shape of a red blood cell, a viral capsid, a tensegrity model. It is the shape of human movement.
Our training interventions are grounded in our extensive study and experience with how cells, tissues, organs, muscle groups, and humans actually behave — not convention or habit.
We teach and coach through precise exercise prescription that works with the body's remodeling capacity.
Every cue, every movement, every session is designed and guided by the same ethos: that strategic stress — challenges that are intelligently chosen and analytically applied — is the mechanism of durable change. In solidarity with the Osteopathic tradition and unlike many trainers or movement specialists, we do not compromise with or skirt around challenges with or limitations of physical autonomy, but focus on addressing whatever compromises thriving and performance at its root cause.
Our practice is heavily informed by the teachings and mentorship of late renowned osteopathic physician Guy Voyer, D.O. Dr. Voyer is best known as the developer of ELDOA. As a therapeutic exercise approach, ELDOA is one component of a larger paradigm of osteopathically-informed training known as SOMATraining. At ICOSA we leverage our extensive background in SOMATraining to combine ELDOA with complementary practices like Myofascial Stretching (MFS), Analytical & Segmental Reinforcement, Proprioception, and much more. Our objective: to create and coach highly effective training protocols for motivated clients, whether their goals relate to rehabilitation from an acute injury, longevity, or athletic performance.
